Love the debate on this subject. Suppose I might have to judge instead of entering the comps.
Just kidding, actually I was querying for someone else as with the previous comp they had relieved at hosting whilst we were overseas, so they had earned too much money, but this year has hardly done any jobs so that was why I queried the rules, as it did not stipulate hosts, but singers who have earned over $2000 and paid musicians.
As a host, I love the thrill of entering and having fun with all my friends who are singers. Not even thinking about the winning part of things, as there are some awesome singers out there that my vocals have no hope in hell against.
What you say Bruce is true, hostings is more about talking and socialising than singing. A pleasant voice is required, but not a professional voice. Have to go missing Big Brother.
