| From the Where2sing.com forum: This Topic of conversation has a hell of a lot ' pro's & con's ' attach to it , sure in most cases karaoke hosts are paid to be host and not to sing , but some do promote there singing abilities and also like Joann and I ,with our shows , many times we would do a 'dinner set ' of songs ( 2- 40 min sets ) prior to launching into karaoke ( corp - functions , weddings etc ) and also many hosts have had full on singing careers prior to becoming karaoke hosts or they still have careers singing outside of karaoke so where do you draw the line , i think only an across the board rule will be the only way to go ,as really some people will say anything and be less than honest to get in...
