Hi Harpoet....In almost every case where the karaoke disc is of reasonable quaity , they are recorded in the 'Artist' key , which may not be the right key for your voice, so on the karaoke player they have ' key-change buttons' which slows or quickens the speed of the disc , which in turn brings the ' key up or down , pending on your vocal tones , this can take quite some time to master unless you have some sort of karaoke system at your disposal ,.. it a little bit like when you front a band you haven't been with before you must know all the keys you sing your songs in and the band will play accordenlly ......... hopes this helps a little....James
