I have to agree with Catman re the story about 'Karaoke in paradise' , I really felt as if I was almost there whilst reading it , but I wondered weren't you concerned that you might wake in your tent with a dingo chewing on your nose !??! (or is that Fraser island with the doggie dilhema ?)
It made me think of some of the wierd/exotic locations at which I've sung Karaoke songs , & thought how lucky I was to be doing just that , just here , just now .
David , you've been around (& I mean that in the nicest possible way !! ).....What's the most exotic location you've ever sung at ?? What about you Kev ? You've 'Karaokied' about a bit. I'm curious to here from any host / tech / singer . Does anyone know , has Karaoke made it to the Antarctic yet..!!?? For me , the first ever Karaoke night at Yulara (Ayers rock resort) , not the least reason being that yours truly was lucky enough to lead the very drunk & enthusiastic crowd of over 400 (mostly employees of the resort) in the last two songs of the night..... Eagle Rock .....where they were all bouncing & rocking to the beat , & then to finish .....I Still Call Australia Home ..... I swear I couldn't see one person not singing with everything they had , & it seemed everyone was hugging , crying , & slapping each other on the back as the crowd slowly dispersed . To this day , those memories still give me goose bumps.......bbrrrrr..... Wow ....isn't Karaoke grand ...!!??!!
