Poor Lyndon. He does get overlooked often, doesn't he? Freaky you should mention him and his temperament. Just saw him at my local Westfield on the weekend when he was also pushed to upset-ness (I know that's not a real word but it's fun making them up sometimes) by persons unknown. Loves his karaoke, that guy and whilst he may never be a great singer, his talent has definitely improved since I first saw him many, many moons ago at the Commercial Hotel, Parramatta when Carry On Karaoke were running it - that was my first regular karaoke venue. GOSH! Was still a teenager back then!! LOL.
Back to the subject at hand though, I really don't like when hosts do that to singers whose talents are debatable. Then again, if a singer is only drinking free water or bumming drinks from other patrons, it may be a business decision rather than a prejudice. After all, if a singer isn't supporting the show, why should the KJ worry about them? I'm not saying that was the case on this occasion but if past experience is anything to go by, it's definitely a possibility... in which case, I wouldn't blame the host at all. If however, it was just plain prejudice based on talent levels, then no, I couldn't blame Lyndon (or anyone else who suffered such treatment) either.
