| From the Where2sing.com forum: James, Jason: Agreed, there are some places where you are, regardless of gender, safer if in a group. There are others where you feel safe. I'm happy to say that most places fall into the latter. I have only seen one incident, luckly it was resolved without the disaster it could have been, because security held their head and managed to excort the people involved outside.
I think it comes down to the venue, you have to make a judgement call. The venue that you're referring to is not a pub, its a bar and I would be extremely suprised to see any trouble there at all.
