From the Where2sing.com forum:

Karma: I'd be more than happy to 'extend some of that spirit ' your way. I point out that you felt it necessary to attack me first. If you wish to try again, e.g. a 'friendly discussion' rather than personal attacks, I'm more than amenable. I for one will cease asking you the question to which you apparently don't wish to answer, which at the end of the day is certainly your right.

Mic Rophone: Believe it or not, I actually like you. David has mentioned that there are some good honest people on W2S, and having recently gone back through the last couple of months of posts to get a feel for some of the people on here, you've stood out as one of the more straightforward ones, albeit with an acerbic wit. People like Kev from Kev's Karaoke and Johnny B are also standouts.

For all: I for one will not be bullied into agreeing or disagreeing with anyone's specific point of view on any matter. I'm not a sheep. The question I'd have posed would be along the lines of proof of the pudding type of stuff. As mature adults and not witch hunters, I would have thought we'd tend to attempt to find things out for ourselves rather than jump on the wagon and start calling people thieves and casting aspersions on their identities.

I've spoken with David several times via email and believe that we have a workable relationship in how we deal with each other and certainly do have respect for each others professionalism. Yet at the same time I also believe we both realise that we are not always going to agree with each other and how each of us believe that things should be done. We're both human after all. My original point was merely the manner in which David went about bringing the issue up. I've never been a fan of the Derryn Hinch methodology.

Now given that I've not actually subscribed at the moment, though have considered it, if for nothing else to get better access to some of the stories that seem to call so much kerfluffle, I for one can't make claims as to knowing for myself and beyond all doubt whether the 'database' on the singing.com.au website is indeed a pirated one or not. Given that there a several hundred entries, as per comments by both the webmaster of the 'offending' site and by David, I'm not aware that someone has had the time and energy to go through and actually compare them.

Perhaps I'll have to spend money on a subscription and stay home this weekend and do such a comparision. That way I'll at least know in my mind the fact of the matter and not being judgemental based on information from others.
