| From the Where2sing.com forum: Good morning all, how was everybody's night last night?? We had a tough but successful one.
Robert: Congratulations mate, and thanks for putting your hand up in time of need. Gonna be a hard slog for a while, as Im sure there are those out there who are not too happy about the outcome of all this. Those who had 'mates' on the inside of the Goss website before and enjoyed privileges and inside information that the rest of us didnt, and used it to crawl all over everyone else in their attempts to gain monopolys. I abhor bullying and intimidation tactics, and because Im the size of a pea Ive been treated that way most of my life, so now with age and experience under my belt it would take nearly Jesus Christ Himself to make me shake in my shoes. Im positive 'those' people know who Im talking about too, and I would ask them to remember that you reap what you sew. NOTHING lasts forever and the bigger you are the harder you fall. (Sorry about the gospel quotes and cliches but they are so damn accurate!)
I hope that you realise what a huge responsibility you have taken on. Even though I was one of Goss's loudest critics I certainly conceed that I dont have the mettle to administrate a website such as this. If you can be as fair and unbiased and reasonable as you have promised, it will be the Karaoke tool that it was intended to be - free, easy, and fun.
Gavin, I feel for you too, I can empathise with how you're feeling right now, but you can take solace in the fact that you can now sit back and actually enjoy your website. Im sure you will still be a big part of the input with it, and will be working side by side with Robert for some time to come. People will still seek your advice and opinions, but the weight is off your sholders and you can relax and know that you at least are no longer responsible for the devious actions of those who violated your trust. As you said, the site was like your child, and as with any child, stranger danger applies. Supervision is the key. So spend time with your loved ones and enjoy.
