From the Where2sing.com forum:

Hello Johnny B. Good to hear from you. And thanks a million for sharing the BOHICA acronym. It's one I hadn't heard, odd for an IT person I know, but I just about laughed my throat raw once I got pass the English Alternative Metal band definition of BOHICA (What the heck is alternative metal?)

As for the hosts singing topic, I'm all for it as long as kept in moderation, which to date always has been. Some hosts have absolutely amazing voices, and yes Vic I've actually heard nothing but glowing comments about Rosalie and her singing. I agree totally with Johnny B's way of how it should be done.

Nothing worse than to get to a venue say half way through the night, and to see the host themselves sing 3 times before you even get your first song in. Though, LOL, I have to agree with Vic, getting a string of 'not so good' (I prefer to be politically correct at times) singers can be hard on the rest of us there.

I had the misfortune of having to listen to 4 songs in a row from different people but who were all part of the same group. All picked LONG songs, e.g. Bohemian Rhapsody, and proceeded to see how many different keys they could sing their song in during that song. Fortunately the host picked up the pattern, and ensured that there gaps between each of the singers on that table for the next 2 rotations.

Music Addict, this is really going to sound like a very odd question for a Qld'er to ask NSW'er, but where is the 'Zoo'. You've basically commended it very higly to me, but I've honestly no idea where it is. And, LOL, I suppose I could become a subscriber and look through the W2S listings, but don't want to leave myself open to being called a 'pirate', again LOL.
