| From the Where2sing.com forum: Johnny B: I wouldn't call myself a successful comp chaser by any stretch of the imagination, mainly because I like to introduce a little too much edginess and gravel into my voice when I sing and judges don't seem to like that.
I would love to see a comp where you have to sing a series of songs from different genres, just so all the people that get by with Bobby Darrin and Elvis stop winning all the time... lol Let's see how you do singing Come As You Are, or Grace. Let's seperate the men from the boys here... Now, I would most likely never win such a contest, but I imagine there would be much less 'I should have won' going on...
