| From the Where2sing.com forum: Hi All ....We had agreat night out again at the ' rusty nail restaurant ' in Warracknabeal (350kms from Melb ) this place has heaps of ' old world charm ' , tonight was open mic night and as we were partaking in a wonderful meal, we were listening to some wonderful singers , doing songs from the 1940's country and western to folk (hippie erea) to some up to date stuff , i got up and did a bracket of 4 songs ,then after about 2 hours of that music we all headed into the function room and listen to a young local - up and coming ' heavy metal band' for a half hour , this band sounds like they have a good future , then we all headed back into the restuarant room to continue the open mic and we all gathered around the big open fire and we started playing and singing together like one big jam session with 5 guitars / bongo's and 8 or 9 singers and every one was intune ( musically and vocalally ) , when we all were sung & played out we all sat around for 30 mins or so just having a chat , we have convined many to come down to Wolf's show on the 22nd , to give karaoke a try as many want to but ( believe it or not ) have never been to karaoke and many have always wanted to give it a go but they are scared to do it , so Joann and myself will ease them into it by doing songs with them....after all open mic nights are just the same as karaoke ,only the music is 'live '
