| From the Where2sing.com forum: Jason: Well spoken, I got there late (Doctor Who you see..) and was very suprised to see that they hadn't started when I walked in the door. Like you, I suspect if they announced that they were looking for singers (and we certainly ain't the only two) they would have got 3-4 singers and enough to start a rotation. Even if not, they could easily do one or two duets and the sound of music, action and lights would be enough to draw people out of the woodwork to fill the rotation. As evidence, the place filled to capacity within 1/2 hr of the show starting proper. I feel, if you want to start late, then finish late. This place can rock to 1am - if you want.
Plus, the night felt flat for the 1st time. Now, I know that every place has the off night but this place was packed, people were part-taking but it still didn't go off. I'm going to give it another couple of weeks but alas, there is well regarded competition starting up the road soon (the Sly Fox).
