From the Where2sing.com forum:

Im not going to demand that David remove my name from the last story, if it happens it was without my knowledge.

I sincerely apologise to everyone for this whole affair, but since 'a host' refuses to communicate with me other than on these websites I see no other way to have myself heard. Unfortunately it means that the whole world is dragged into these - some would say petty arguments. And if getting up on my soap box is what it takes to avoid just one more small operator having their livelihood taken away due to greed and delusions of grandure then so be it.

Dont know about anyone else but to me finding out on another operators website that I had lost a gig after only one show IS IMPORTANT. We were told by the previous operator that the management had said the 'job was ours'. We knew the gig was not secure but that is the case with all new gigs these days until you've been given a chance to prove yourself, a chance we never had. Never once were we told that we were just a fill in until they found something better. I can clearly see now that we were just used out of desperation after the previous operator quit at short notice. As far as I am concerned we did him a favour by accepting the job and this is how we have been treated in return.

What the management of this establishment fails to realise is that I take my job very seriously as Im sure he does his, it is my livelihood and my income. I also have a business reputation to uphold and have been left nothing but humiliated by his actions. We advertised on the websites, told all our friends and followers, only to be very rapidly replaced, as if we'd done an absolutely abominable show at his venue. He never even saw our show himself, and never thought to speak to us personally after numerous attempts by us to do so. Any operator will tell you how it looks in the industry to do a show somewhere and then be replaced by another operator so quickly, not to mention how it feels to be replaced in such a short time for no apparent reason. I would ask him to put himself in our shoes for a second and wonder how it would look and how he would feel if this happened to him in his line of work. My reputation and my business has been quite badly damaged due to all this and I honestly dont believe I deserved it. Because I feel that it was so unfair I also feel I have a right to speak out about it. Even if just to prevent it from happening to anyone else.

As for all your comments in your own defence A HOST, Im sure I dont need to tell you again how credible, (or in-credible) I find them to be. It never ceases to amaze me just what an angel you are.
