| From the Where2sing.com forum: If you have been to Karaoke at Peakhurst Inn, either from the first night over three years ago, or even up to a year ago, you would have undoubtedly seen a sweet old lady sitting there with her daughter and Grandchildren nearly every Wednesday night watching and enjoying Karaoke.
To everyone this lady was simply known as Nan.
On the odd occasion I would take the microphone to her and get her to sing with me to an old song such as a White sports coat or He’ll have to go.
Nan was never a singer but preferred to watch her family singing instead in which she got her greatest enjoyment.
Nan has been very sick for the last year with that dreaded thing call cancer.
She has only made it to Karaoke once in the last year about 4 months ago and that night although she enjoyed it, you could tell she was in terrible pain.
Nan passed away this week and will be buried today at Woronora in South of Sydney and of course I will be attending.
To Nan we love you and may you go to that big Karaoke place in the sky and let the angels take over singing to you up there.
