| From the Where2sing.com forum: Legs: The problem with karaoke comps is that the judging criteria are often highly arbitrary and hense different judges could very well award the top prizes to wildly different contestants. Am I happy about this? As a judge and as an entrant, no. Is there anything I can do about it? No, not really. What I am an advocate for though is transparency in criteria, making the entrants aware of how they're going to be judged. JB gives marks on costume changes, my desire is that singers be made aware of that. I'd like to see performers made aware of how they're going to be judged so that no matter how arbitrary the scoring is, everyone is on the same playing field.
