From the Where2sing.com forum:

Have NSW Clubs gone mad? Marg & I attempted to visit a rural Ex-Services Club we've been to countless times. We were asked for ID. Marg produced around 7 pieces of ID, including a photo ID. They said this wasn't sufficient and that they'd be fined $5000 if we were caught with this inadequate ID by the undercover licensing cops lurking everywhere. This was the same set she'd used to open a bank account, secure a housing loan, and deliver court affidavits. Yet it wasn't enough to convince a bouncer that we were out of area, despite our Chatswood RSL Club card etc. I thought clubs were supposed to be struggling. Has someone in licensing & gaming gone stark raving mad or is there another agenda? Maybe someone else has encountered this nonsense. Tom
