From the Where2sing.com forum:

Hi Johnny.B.......these days i'm just happy to sing a song by myself , Gee's every-one seems to want to sing with me , i don't mind now and again but i lose my turn in order when i do sing with them and the songs are always the sh*t i really dislike doing unless i'm doing a paid job... ie..summer nights / i got you babe / up where we belong ..etc....in a way it was my own fault as i started helping a few 'new ' karaoke friends get over there fear of singing ( first timers ) by singing with me , BUT the word has got around that i'm only too happy to do this and the past 2 or 3 shows in our town , they have been lining up to sing with me , you see the Town i live in is remote Victoria and karaoke is only 'new' , although it is now running twice a month in two pubs ( they alternate the nights ) and the greater most people have never been to or sang karaoke , so i'm going to have chat to the 3 hosts ( Wolf / Jason / Thomas ) doing the shows up here that as i'm doing a service in helping there show by guiding new people with singing karaoke and indeed getting people motivated on the night and to come back and support there shows , that rule ' duo is a full turn in rotation ' will need to be relaxed with me otherwise its not worth me attending as i don't really get any fun or artistic value out of singing those little ditties....and its no use saying to them NO as they just write my name down singing with them anyway and put me on a spot and when you live in a small town its not a good idea to upset people.....
