Last Saturday was a wonderful day because we had a couple of friends come around to our place for a full day of singing fun , we meet at a ' open mic night ' and we invited them to a karaoke night where they had great night , it was at this karaoke show we gave them the invitation and they were only too keen to come , So what !! you may be saying , well as this couple are a singing duo with many years 'under there belt', it was so surprising that they had no idea about karaoke as they have never seen or been to a karaoke show and where only so please that i was willing to give them a ' crash course ' in all the facets of karaoke , after showing them all the in's & out's with the equipment we set about doing a few songs , well once they got the hung of it , my goodness !!! there was no stopping them , i think we must of 'knocked over' 30+ songs , sometimes we got the guitars out and ' Sid' also plays the Banjo & Harp and this fellow 'Sid has a perfect pitch ear this is only way i can explain it , as he was able to play the instrutments along with the discs in tune right from the get-go ( amazing ) , anyway he now want us to get prices on karaoke equipment ( for home use ) and ask if we would advise him of all equipment needed .... they now have a new found love & respect for karaoke and want to get very involved with karaoke which is great to see muso's wanting to know more about karaoke.......this Thursday is ' open mic night' so i might take the Voco-pro unit along and belt out a few songs just to give other muso's a oppertunitity to understand karaoke & i'll take along my guitar also .....
