you are right... how would one contact another host and inform them that they are about to lose the gig?
very delicate ground, however.... as i said, if another host in the community was about to lose thier gig and i was the host that was contacted to take control of the gig.. i would call the current host, and at least let them know, hey this is whats happening, and this is who i am.
This does not mean that i would not take the gig, but i feel that the current host should be informed PRIOR.
