LeatherBaron

I don't think I can go into another heat. I didn't want to be in the first one, but it was due to a lack of people turning up that I got 'drafted' by Mick and Joe. I have never known people to be given a second try at it. There is nothing on the entry form that says a person can't have a second try and I might try and clarify that with Jim Porter or the club when I am well enough to go there again (have bronchitis at present). I asked you the question because the first time that this happened to me (the year before last) both Jim Porter and his wife Andre were judging and it was taken into consideration. I definitely was NOT asking for special favours because I thought I was inappropriately dressed for the competition. When I find out about this, I will let you know. Actually it is a very good point to raise, because having a second try is not mentioned anywhere on the entry form. I don't know if I want to try again. I am over the disappointment that I felt and maybe I should just leave it at that and try harder next time around. I won't let my husband or his mate railroad me into next time though. Sometimes some heats are quieter than others with not many people in them and usually that is the kind of heat that I try and aim for, and not go up against the 'comp chasers' or the professionals.

Thanks for your honesty and input though, I appreciate it.
