| From the Where2sing.com forum: Hi David, congratulations on your new site. We have a gig at the Grey Gums Hotel in Penrith, or rather we did have a gig there, we got sick and tired of it and so we gave it up. The management were sad to see us go and asked if we knew anybody else that would be able to do it, they said they would trust whoever we put in there, consequently there is still karaoke at the Grey Gums, just not Sherry's Karaoke. It was a solid 4.5 years, even though this same manager promised us that we would only last 6 weeks tops as karaoke is just not very popular. We made a few friends, and a few enemies, but most of all we made some great memories. So its goodbye from Sherry's Karaoke - for now - who knows, we may one day start again - when the kids leave home? the money dries up? who knows. Ciao. REPLY from David
Many thanks for coming to the site, and for the story on your karaoke at Grey Gums... interesting. I'm surprised that, given its success, you didn't expand your business to other venues. Anyway, I've unlinked that venue from you, and do please point the news hosts towards the website so that they can keep up that listing...
