| From the Where2sing.com forum: Of course David, of course. For someone who has never been a karaoke host you certainly have an awful lot of advice to give. I dont take my problems to work with me, and venue managers have got much more important things to do with their time than sit and pour over these websites to even be aware of what goes on. (Unless of course they are directed here by a host with an axe to grind) If you think they do you are deluding yourself. We have secured two gigs in a very short time with no help from this or any other website, and they are more than happy with our services. (Would have been 3 gigs if it were'nt for a lack of ethics from certain hosts and venue managers.)
I refuse to go about this business in the cold, hard, black manner that you and other business people do, the very nature of the business requires otherwise. Regardless of what you have been told, I do not have a bloody minded attitude to everyone in the industry, only those who cannot conduct themselves openly and honestly, because honesty is one of my strong points and its the only reason people find my manner 'objectionable' at times. Im not going to apologise for that.
