Methinks you both still miss the point, that each business is responsible for the acquisition and maintenance of its own business. Whilst you point fingers and whinge about how unfair it all is, others are getting on and running their businesses within the normal parameters of commerce.
The venue manager may not have given you notice, but then where was the contract that said he should? The venue may not have spent money on promotions, but why should this affect its right to terminate your services? Funda may have been talking to this venue before, during and after your residency, but why should they not be doing this?
If you had dealings with Funda anything along the lines of those you display in your comments on W2S, I'm not at all surprised that they go after your gigs - I'd see you as an exceptionally easy target given your business attitude, and especially after your verbal stouche with them.
My Angel Dave... you're welcome to send me private information, but it's pretty useless if I can't use it to respond to you and offer advice. If it's relevent, then post it here and I'll respond so that other hosts also gain the benefit of reading about this.
