| From the Where2sing.com forum: KaraokeBug-Dean... you're quite wrong - I am that old...lol! I guess what I'm harping on about is that business is not a cold-hearted, mean spirited financial war - even if it appears that way.
There are some fundamentals to business that may make it appear haphazard or just dog-eat-dog, but in reality it's a mathematical/planning/people science with some fairly specific rules for success. It's a bit like driving on the road - pretty confusing the first time you're in a taxi on the wrong side of the road in Asia with cars coming from everywhere, but after a while you get to understand the rules and realise that what at first appeared haphazard is actually just as organised as driving in Australia (well, actually it would be if the brakes on Asian taxis worked....lol).
Dean, even you have a business strategy by preferring the 'mum and dad' owned venues because you find them more receptive to your sales speil - this is all part of deciding on your target market.
And, if this were all about cold, hard unemotional business, then I wouldn't be warning about the danger of building a confrontational public image on W2S .
