I wonder whether you could tell me if my understanding of the copyright situation regarding a website called www.karaokeinfo.com is approximately correct?
The website appears to be advertising an almost unlimited quantity of 4Mb CDG tracks of well-known brands for download at a US$47 one off free; further reading suggests this may be a pier-to-pier network (ala WinMX), and that the $47 gets you access to a shared karaoke file network of pirated karaoke discs plus instructions on how to do everything including burning your files to disc.
I wonder therefore whether it may not be illegal for the website company to provide the instructions and tools, but that any purchser in Australia would be infringing copyright if he were to:
a) download these tracks?
n) burn them to disc?
