From what i can tell with my search on copyright, unless the sellers are paying royalties to a body Such as Apra for ever Track that is downloaded ( which i highly doubt, due to their fee structure of a one off payment)it is illegal.This company must know that this could be the case due to their disclaimer. This being said it is up to the purchaser to find out what the laws say befor making a payment. These sort of companies only make it harder for the pro hosts to secure gigs at a fair price. A perfect example of this is i was speaking yesterday to a venue and was told we are out of their budget, they currently have karaoke and are paying well under $200 a gig, mmmmmmmm i went into the W2S gigs and found this comment about the said host QUOTE; new host is reportedly of the 'cheap host & burned discs' variety, previously one known for emptying a venue, but now is slightly better, but still one venue to avoid. Makes you wonder what Apra is doing. I was informed recently by a reputable supplier that when speaking to Apra about taking action for the illegal copying of their discs that Apra had advised them that Karaoke is at the bottom of their list when it comes to taking action. All i can say is i will be staying well clear of this web site and its offer.
