| From the Where2sing.com forum: James: exactly, I have said just that to quite a few people who have criticised my use of the websites, and we have even had a visit to one of our gigs by one of Trish's other operators. (spying or what I dont care but at least he contributed to the bar sales. lol)
Barritone: The 'animosity'? Well it would take me a month of Sundays to tell the WHOLE story, and dont really care to. It started long before I even went into hosting and originally had nothing to do with Trish, but the fact that I stood up to her in support of David over the theft of his database is really what got me off side with her. I was instumental in having Gary Str8up kicked off the other website, and he and Trish happen to be good friends, so thats when I really became her mortal enemy.
Fascinating that the only empathy for my situation has come from 'mere' singers isnt it?? But it has gone a long way to restoring my faith in human nature. The singers are the ones we are 'really' in this game for, and its good to know that we are doing the right thing by them at least. So thankyou guys, from the bottom of my heart. You've got more guts than the rest of them put together.
I am off to work now at the other of my two venues, and I have a feeling we are in for a busy one, as it seems we are the only gig left in the area now.
