| From the Where2sing.com forum: KB..Dean.......The difference between bands dj's or any one from the performing arts is that many or most do it for the love of there art and hone there skills to get themselves to the best level possible of performing there art , most in this country do it very hard until they get 'a break ' so they have a greater understanding and compassion for other artists , most have great talents but not so great business skills ,hence this why those who are earning money and wishing to get to greater heights with there art many employ 'a manager ' ( at 20% neg ) and this gives them the ability to work at full steam with there art and letting some-one else deal with most of the business crap....
