Aw shucks... heheheh. Thank you for that sentiment. I hope I can help you with your claim to fame there. Can't come soon enough, I can tell ya! Been a long, hard slog getting to the point I'm at now though few would know. Almost ready to launch onto the world stage but not quite.

Thanks to the generosity of Ms Fitzy offering me transportation and thus saving me the cabfare I couldn't have afforded to part with, I attended the Maroubra karaoke that young Nanna was hosting on behalf of Garry of Rising Star. VERY busy. 36 singers in the first round alone and I only got 1 and a quarter songs - the quarter being a few lines in a Backstreet Boys # which a few of us (Garry's son, Maxdaddy, el barto and myself) just did as a bit of an in joke for the last song but the crowd actually LIKED it. lol. Nanna you scaredy cat, you were supposed to sing it with us!!
I also got to see a guy I'd not seen in years since giving up the talent quests. Older chap called Alex who used to sing at Marrickville. Very friendly and very humble. Not the best voice in the world but far from the worst and he really enjoys himself up on stage. It was nice to catch up a bit with him.
Sadly, there was no eye candy present :( Odd that a beach suburb should be so devoid of beach types (of either sex) a couple of us felt.
When money's a bit less of an issue, I'll head on back there with friends for the karaoke and free snooker tables.
