| From the Where2sing.com forum: Sorry to have to inform you of this Puss, but 'Legend' was not a karaoke virgin!! I have photographic proof of him singing karaoke here with Mick!! He may have been a 'Karaoke virgin' as far as singing in public goes, but not actually singing karaoke itself.
Tonight Mick and I went out to the Grey Gums Hotel at Penrith. Not a bad pub, we have been there before, but it was quite some time ago. It was good to catch up with Vicki and Glen who run karaoke out there on a Saturday night. We stayed for a while and sang one song each, but as it is a late starting show (goes from 9PM to 1AM) and it was well and truly more like 9.30PM when it started tonight, we didn't stay past singing one song each. We did see a few people that we knew, Cathy (wheels) and her hubby John and son Jason. Someone we did see (and didn't really want to) was a former friend Kerry. She saw us walk in and then she went up and cancelled her songs!! Then when Mick and I left, she went and put her song requests back in again. I don't know why she wouldn't want to sing in front of us!! From what I remember of Kerry, she has a good voice especially for singing some of the older songs e.g., 'Somewhere over the rainbow'. We were not there to heckle anyone, we went there to sing a song or two and enjoy ourselves as it was a night off for Mick from hosting Karaoke Kapers. I am rather hoping that one of Kerry's friends (if she has any left) sees this and tells her what a fool she made of herself going on the way she did. Oh well, I suppose it takes all kinds to make a world, thank God there aren't too many like that!! She didn't ruin our night though, but as Mick had said he wanted to come back to St. Marys and see if anyone had a show at the Park View Hotel, then we left a bit before 11PM. When we got to St. Marys, Mick went in and had a look and found Reanna from Karaoke Kapers doing the show, but from what I have heard, this is not one of Karaoke Kapers regular gigs. I don't know who has this one, and I did read on the Gig listings that this show was not on any more. So can someone clear this up for me, who is actually running this show??
I hope that everyone had a good night at whatever karaoke shows they attended. I am now off to bed.
