| From the Where2sing.com forum: Gd morning Rovics,We have the same problem here at a popular chain of Taverns,Every one of them is nowhere near residences yet they all have the sound restricters in place.Then they start to sack the karaoke shows because,(so they say) the poker machine revenues are not paying.They stop the saturday shows of all nights!!..When are these higher-ups going to get it into their thick heads that the reason that people stop going to their venues is because of the restrictions on the sound. That It makes us all feel scared to sing to our full potential as we know the sound will go off and it just spoils the enjoyment that we all have when we sing.Here in Sydney is one of the BEST sounding karaoke shows around(in my opinion) who at one time had all these Taverns ,every Friday and saturday and in one case Sunday aswell.But they.ve lost at least 3 of their Saturday shows,And Its not because they've done anything wrong at all.NO Its because singers just stop going there in preference to somewhere that you can really belt out a song.
