| From the Where2sing.com forum: Scams Scams Scams...Big or small whether it is the local Karaoke comp or a TV voting comp.It would seam to me Comps are all a bit of a scam.The judges that cannot come to a winner when a points system is in place .Only need to be able to add up points and pick a winner.that is why there is more then one judge.
Eg. if a comp is run on a points system what is there to be done by judges needing time to go and debate about who is going to win.
Lets say there are four judges in a comp and ecah one is to mark say 10 points dress 20 points on song 20 presention and 10 on x factor.Once the judge get together to pick the winner is it not just a matter of adding point to see the clear winner.????
Recently a comp I was is had a trhee way drawn of first place and there was a so called sing off.
Tell me how can four judges get to a point where there is a trhee way tie.
After the sing off the judge then decide on a winner by voting 1 2 or 3 .with no comments added.
I feel if judges cannot add points up and pick the winner from that then the panel of judges are a waste of space and are really just involved in a scam of there own.
The winner is the one they wish it to be not the one it should be.
