Just found some information via the KWC Canadian site on the final cruise and the announcing of Mark Wilson from Australia as the KWC.
Received a sms from Bill Masters saying that Mark Wilson of Australia had won KWC and John Howard invites him to the Lodge to sing.
Thought you might want to have a look. I was going to do a write up after the National Finals, but waited for Bill or Kathryn to do theres first.
Mark was very moved on the night after winning the Qld finals and then to cap it off with the Australian title, he was beyond himself.
Of all the singers did not have much of a chance to get to know him as I was co-ordinating the other state singers whilst the Qld finals was taking place, so I also missed his State final song.. Of the little time I spent with him, he was a lovely guy and just so excited about the whole event. He was helpful to the other singers whilst they were getting ready and was just a good bloke. Really happy he won the world title, unbelievable voice.
As you know Kieran , from Vic came a well deserved second, the talent was excellent this year in the Nationals and a great bunch of people.
Off to listen to his final song as I think the site has a recording on of the final two males. Regards T
