You weren't the only Chatty crowd member not to show, mate. There was only myself, Eagle Rock and Mim (and proud of it) when I showed up. I know Steve E was working and Fitzy had something else on that night but I was surprised to not see more of the Chatty crew like Ketchup Queen and especially Nanna. Thought he'd be there for sure. Ah well. More songs for the rest of us!
Learned a good lesson there too actually. I'd practised Engelbert's 'Am I That Easy To Forget' only to stuff it up here and there. However, when I just did my flip through the pages, stop and let the finger point randomly to a song, I found The Searchers' 'Love Potion No. 9' which I've never done before and yet it came across very well (even if I say so myself which is okay cos a few audience members told me so too, so NYEH!! lol). So maybe I put a little too much pressure on myself when I've practised a song. Far better to just have fun trying a song and seeing how you go rather than trying to impress. Still be entertaining just don't be too uptight about it. That was the lesson.
