| From the Where2sing.com forum: Hi Sammo......Great idea in theory , well 'theory' as far as karaoke singers is concerned , but if you were aiming at those who wish to make a career out of the entertainment business in the future and those who have total faith in there own abilities and those who are willing to 'put there money where there mouth is ' , this idea could be a winner , sadly i don't think you would get the numbers needed from the karaoke world alone ( gee's its hard enough to get a couple of drinks out of some of them )) BUT !!! if you incorperated not only karaoke people but singers from the main-stream singing schools and education centres or any artist wishing to take that further step to get them more up the ladder ( so to speak ) , also maybe make it more of a talent quest and have the comp open to a wider section of aspriering ( sp? ) artists ,such as stand-up comics ( clean ones ) ëtc , as you know those who wish to 'make something of themselves ' in the entertainment world have no problem with paying out 'big-bucks ' to give themselves ' the edge ie ... equipment / getting a certain look / bio's / picture albums / demo's / teaches and training and so on and so on , so $ 250 would not be frown upon it would be viewed as a reasonable price to get ' that step further and a great learning experiance , sadly few karaoke hopefuls will see it from that point of view.........anyway best of luck and keep these great idea's coming as its people like you Sammo that the karaoke worlds needs ..
