You've got to think big to make big.Thankfully , most people have offered constructive criticism , & I really hope you can get something off the ground , to stick it to those who haven't ! I think , though , that sponsorship is the way to go to get the dollars into the prize pool , for while there's plenty of singers around with big egos & opinions of their ability , most are probably realistic enough to know that their style is not everyone's cup of tea (including the judges) , so why would they part with their own good money , to have ...'some idiot who wouldn't know , man !! ' .... pass judgement on them . It would probably mean a hell-of-a-lot of hard work , foot slogging ,handshaking & corporate arse-kissing , but if you could get one (or more) large commercial entities to get on board , the spin-offs for you , & the contestants both financialy & promotionaly , may well be much bigger .Dont forget , these people (possibly) have reputations to look after , so if you can at least offer them some promotion , in the event they don't win money , that's at least a positive to dwell on instead of the obvious negatives of being a quality performer (at least in their own eyes) , elimenated early....Good Luck !!
