| From the Where2sing.com forum: sammo - re the older talent pool.... go for it .... they love it ...the reason for my disappearence from the scene was to look after my elderly mum... she was blind and wheelchair bound but she loved her music... even though she couldnt sere them preform she loved it.. we used to go to many things that i searched out for her and a lot were preformed by groups such as the one you are working on... they are amazing people giving back mainly for free... if i could i would come down there and use my marketing plans to do whatever i could to help you with this venture but unfortunatly i am stuck here for the moment... the karaoke thing would be a hit with them i am sure of it as i haved seen it bring so much joy to others in the retirement homes, hostels and nursing homes... we have an older gentleman who comes to a show i frequent and he celebrated his 90th bday with us recently.. thank the gods he is well enough to be there with us... he is what it is about...fun and joy... there is too little of this around us these days... sadly mum lost her fight with her body recently so i cant ask her of her opinions of things like this but i knew her well enoughto know she would say the oldies deserve a go.. so you go give it to 'em
