| From the Where2sing.com forum: Hey David, do you have a link to that fabulous review you did on Papa Frank at the Covent a few years back? Very funny. Papa is good enough to offer me ongoing hair restoration advice - anything from spaghetti bolognaise to chicken manure.
I've know Papa for quite a few years.....I've been a karaoke fiend for sometime myself. Used to sing at Triple 8 bar in Goulburn St which was strategically located next to Eros Cinema. What a karaoke it was. A friend of mine who turned up as a one off experience was later asked to describe what it was like. He replied:
"Imagine all the lunatics in Sydney in the one room at the one time".

The Papa Frank review is near the bottom of the list, perhaps in the half dozen at the foot of the page, in the Gig Reviews section - you'll find that link in the Index. Glad to hear he is still alive and causing mischief!
I did frequent the 888 in its last year, and was also sad to see it go. At that stage it was an almost totally Asian haunt, and I did a review on it around the same time as Papa Frank's.
