'.... s service which SHOULD be free ...' Wow! Under which rock did you crawl out from? Be real Lady Sparkle. NOTHING is ever 'free'. We live in a world of give and take, a world of 'exchange' ... some fair, some not so fair ... it's a 'you give me something, and in return I will give you something' kinda reality we live in.
We all contribute to the government's coffers by way of taxes, to fund the 'free' services the government dishes out to the underpriviledged and the system-scammers ... nothing is free.
The unfortunates who seek shelter and assistance from church and other religious 'charities' are subject to whatever propaganda those organisations may wish to dish out with the ultimate aim of 'turning them into converts', and may have to 'cross themselves' and say 'grace', or alternatively dance and chant 'to give thanks' to those organised cults' respective supreme beings for the food they are eating, etc. ... nothing is free.
Toll-free highways .. like hell they are ... again, our taxes at work! Nothing is free.
Sometimes we all have to contribute so that a selected few can get the benefits ... most times we have no choice over the matter ...
