From the Where2sing.com forum:

David, I am concerned and alarmed at the possibility that you via your website permit ; that is, enabling another party to change the detail of our gig as listed on your website. We gave you the listing of our gig; we believe that you have a responsibility to protect its accuracy and relevance, otherwise why would we want to list our gig with you. Please either restore the details we gave you about our show or remove it please.

REPLY from David
Actually, it would be rather alarming if, once submitted, a gig stayed on the website without anyone checking for ever...lol... It works like this: The person who originally lists a gig has control over it until - a) It has not been reconfirmed (by anyone) for more than 20 days - in which case anyone can mark it as no longer running or b) It has not been reconfirmed (by anyone) for more than 30 days - in which case anyone can take control of it. In other words, the worst that can happen under 30 days is that someone marks it as no longer running when it, in fact, still is running. In the rare cases that this has happened, I have simply reinstated the gig (and removed the rights of the person who 'removed' it). If you visit the W2S site at least every month, you'll find a link to your Own Gigs right under the Welcome Back message, and it's therefore easy for you to check and ReConfirm your gigs. I also send out regular emails to those who have not ReConfirmed gigs. So I don't know what you mean by 'Please either restore the details we gave you...' - have you checked that the details of your gig have changed, or indeed are still acurate?
