| From the Where2sing.com forum: Great comments, i would generally announce something if i am going to sing, so not to upset anyone in the queue, i too know what it is like to wait your turn. As for comps, i don't like them much either to be honest. I have judged a few and find it extremelly tough. It is awfully hard to judge your friends, all the while being fair to all participants. Then you get your friends asking you why they didn't get to the finals or why they didn't win. I always try to be nice and can't bring myself to say 'well you just weren't the best on the night'. I like to be positive with everyone who is having a go and comps just make it hard. I refuse to judge comps now for these reasons. I dont enter any comps anymore either ( I only ever entered three) as i have many times heard the comment 'She's a professional she shouldn't be here' and that was before i was hosting.
