el barto...
That's okay buddy. I hope you're feeling well again soon.
I didn't get there till much later than I had anticipated but Natalia was there as was Music Addict and even Slater along with their respective friends. Was a good night except for some drunk who danced like Peter Garrett receiving shock-therapy (scary) who both took away the enjoyment of the singers and annoyed the host by somehow causing technical difficulties (I think he tripped over the speaker cable or something - TWICE). The sound mix there still needs work but it's improving with each visit and I rarely have issue with the way I'm mixed there. The host is great and since I'm there as much for the friendly company as for singing, I'll keep going when I'm not otherwise booked and know friends will be in attendance.

Ah... Hallowe'en... I had a great one several years back at a friend's karaoke show in the Marrickville area which was also a fancy dress night - which I love. I went as the Headless Horseman (minus the horse). Spooked one of the patron's dogs that was tethered outside when I arrived, poor thing. Even when I revealed my head was merely hidden within the costume and still firmly attached, it wouldn't stop whimpering and moaning (and no it wasn't cos I was just as weird looking with head Attached as seemingly DEtached, thank you very much. I'd met the dog previously and been liked just fine!). I felt so guilty!! It was kinda hard to make myself heard, having to sing from a decapitated torso!

Mmmm.... Morticia.... Now there's a TV babe of yesteryear... Ah that lucky ol' Gomez!! That's a rap song I've been meaning to learn for karaoke - ''The Addams Groove'' by Hammer - just for the novelty.
