| From the Where2sing.com forum: My first song was The Weight by The Band. All 3 of my brothers were already singing and although I had dabbled in the school band I had never really considered myself a singer. The preasure was on as the host (John at the tennis club Lemeah) announced I was a karaoke virgin and that my brother (Wayne) had one of the best voices in the country so we'll see how Rob goes.....
Thanks John......I guess I did ok cos I havn't really stopped since. In the years following I found and lost 3 seperate long time girlfriends at karaoke (yes I've looked behind the couch) , gave up a General Managers job in publishing to start my own Karaoke/Entertainment company and now live comfortably off of what I thought I would never be able to do in the first place.
Most of the friends I have around me are from karaoke's and all my staff are also friends I met at karaoke.
So I guess it pretty much altered the direction of my life.
