From the Where2sing.com forum:

To Kititude, thanks Roz, yes I thought it was about time to say part of what I think, most who know me know that on Saturday night I was in no pleasant mood. I have been in the entertainment business for over 15 years judging talent contests, where contestants use a band for about a similar time. Karaoke was a late inclusion. As well as working with and booking a number of Australia's best entertainers from the 50's to present. I put a very high value on my personall integrity and don't take it to kindly, when it is questioned.

To Music Addict, Jason (The LeatherBaron) is not the only one to here rumors that don't appear on this site. But I know that a number of the people who have started them also place emails here.

I don't agree with your opinion, that after Chris's appearance I should have explained we had no problems with opening like this and they were legal under the rules and that others could talk to us. I don't hide in the room from contestants, indeed others had already inquired about intro's and were told the boundaries. How a contestant puts together his or her performance is up to them. I'm not there to make contestants into a group of clones.

Indeed people should have been aware, as Chris used a smaller one in last years grandfinal.

Is it more that people are jealous, of his talent and vision on putting it together. It certainly made a couple of contestants that followed him jittery.

I have watched Chris develop over 5 years, the first 3 years he had a good voice but was missing the polish to take his performance to the next level.

He took it up a notch in the semi finals last year and again went up a level in last years grandfinal. Last week he developed an opening that made people look.

I congradulate him on his efforts, I believe he has the talent to become a force either with a band of his own or musical comedy. The question is has he peaked and shown his best, as defending champion the pressure is on him.

He is the 1st defending champion to come back and defend the title.

On grandfinal night anything can happen and does.

With 4 Judges, and the possibility that it could be a single point between the winner and second place the pressure is on all contestants to raise the bar to the next level.

I hope they do, as it will be an intersting night, to the grandfinal contestants good luck and please know that I congradulate you in making the grandfinal and that all of you who have made it and the contestants from Semi Final No. 3 who do are all winners. In my eyes, there ae no losers.
