Great venue goes bad.... Review: The Indooroopilly Pig and Whistle - Thursday nights. This venue changed hosts recently. Our favourite DJ, Dave was leaving us after 4 years. We figured that the karaoke company would just replace him and we'd have a similar high quality gig. We were very, very wrong. The Pub decided that this would be an oportunity to bring in another company and try something new. The new DJ, 'Dangerous Dan' (or something like that), from the new company is useless. He seems to have no idea how to keep the gig running smoothly and he certainly doesn't seem to have a clue about the sound gear. This Pub has moved from about the best venue in the Western Suburbs of Brisbane to about the worst. It is a real shame for those of us that have been there for a long time.
The DJ's major problems:
1) He gets singers to sing 2-3 songs in a row which means it can be 3-4 hours between turns.
