From the Where2sing.com stories: Boiling PointI think that hosts should draw the line at what type of genre is sung at karaoke! I'm open to most music, but thrash metal is just not what I expect of an evening, one song may be bearable, but 6 or 7 is not! I went to a place recently where there was about 5 people who were singing these types of songs, where as the rest of us, were praying that the song would end soon, especially when one song goes on for 10 minutes, and a good 5 mins is just electric guitar - that's not karaoke - where's the singing?? I know it's for people to have fun, but seriously, if you are host, have SOME consideration for the majority of your audience!
