At karaoke I once sawBack in the 90s at The Plough Inn in Brisbane, we used to have a guy called 'Tommy' who came in regularly and sang 'All By Myself' (among others. He was absolutely brilliant, but very shy. Anyway, a couple of years later he turned up on one of those reality popstar shows (I think it was Starstruck!). I watched every week and saw him do some originals as well as covers. He was fantastic and won the series (prize including a Sony contract I think) ..... never saw or head about him again..... except for one more karaoke night sveral years after the show.
